While snooping on Site Meter, I was led to this article about the Missouri convention in 2004. It's funny how we find some of the same people to be photogenic.
With songs & honors sounding loud,
Address the Lord on high.
Over the heav'ns he spreads his clouds,
And water veils the sky.
He sends his showers of blessings down
To cheer the plains below.
He makes the grass the mountains crown,
And corn in valleys grow.
Isaac Watts, in The Sacred Harp, No. 528

My husband loves singing. Congregational singing is something he misses, as we attend an unprogrammed meeting. I searched and found that Sacred Harp meets once a month at a meeting close to us, Montclair Monthly meeting. I hope to take him this month as a surprise. Thanks for this, I never would have known it existed without your blog.
